Last summer, a regular customer brought in her golden retriever looking like he’d been through a hedge backwards – totally matted from swimming in the lake all season. Dog Bathing and Blow Dry

Your dog rolled in something gross again, didnt they? It happens every other week around here. Our dog bathing service gets them actually clean – not just surface clean but deep-down fresh. We use the right shampoo for their coat type, scrub real good, and blow dry them so they’re not damp and smelly an hour later. Small dogs start at $25, bigger breeds go up from there. Most baths take 30-45 minutes and your dog leaves smelling way better than when they came in.

We also do medicated baths for dogs with skin issues. If your vet said they need special shampoo treatment, bring the bottle and we’ll handle it.

Dog Grooming

Full dog grooming means bath, haircut, nails, and ear cleaning all in one appointment. Prices run from $45 for small dogs up to $75+ for the big guys. Our groomers have been doing this for years – they know how to work with nervous dogs, wiggly puppies, and old dogs who just wanna lay down.

We keep the music calm, work at your dogs pace, and never rush through it. If your dog needs breaks, we give breaks. If they do better with treats every few minutes, thats fine too. The goal is they leave looking good and didnt hate the experience.

Dog Grooming and Styling

This is where we really make your dog look their best. Dog grooming and styling in Auburn isnt just about cutting hair – its about knowing breed cuts, face shapes, and what actually works for Alabama weather. Ten bucks gets your dogs nails trimmed. Takes maybe 10 minutes. We do this about 50 times a week for dogs whose owners just dont want to fight with them at home about it. Quick in, quick out, and your dog isnt clicking across your hardwood floors anymore.

Blow Dry

Sometimes you just need the blow dry after you wash your dog at home and realize they’re gonna be wet for 6 hours. Bring them in damp and we’ll dry them proper with our dryers – the ones that actually work, not the little hairdryer you got at home.

Ear Cleaning

Floppy eared dogs get nasty ears. Labs, beagles, spaniels – their ears trap moisture and get funky fast in Alabama humidity. We clean ears as part of grooming or as a standalone thing if your dog just needs that.

Specialized Grooming Services

Fur Cut

Need a fur cut but not the whole grooming package? We can do that. Maybe your dog just got a bath last week but their hair is covering their eyes or the butt area is getting gross. We’ll trim what needs trimming without doing the full deal. Usually runs $20-35 depending on how much work it is.

Just Baths

Our “Just Baths” service is exactly what it sounds like – bath, blow dry, brush out, thats it. No haircut. Good for dogs with short coats or dogs who just need cleaning but dont need styling. Way cheaper than full grooming, gets the job done. Prices start at $25 for small dogs.

Face Trim

Some dogs dont need full grooming but their face gets scraggly – hair in the eyes, beard getting crusty, eyebrows looking crazy. Face trims clean up just the head area. Good for dogs like schnauzers, shih tzus, or any dog where the face hair grows faster than the body.

Sanitary Trim

This is trimming the hair around your dogs private areas and butt so things stay cleaner. Super important for long haired dogs. Most groomers include this automatically with full grooming but you can get it done separately too.

Pet Grooming

All our pet grooming happens inside our climate controlled facility on Chadwick Lane. We got good lighting, proper grooming tables, and all the tools that actual groomers use. Your dog isnt getting groomed in somebodys garage or outside in a truck.

Intensive Grooming Services

Shave Down

Some dogs get so matted theres no saving the coat – it gotta come off. Shave downs are for dogs where the matting is painful or we cant brush it out without hurting them. We shave them down close, get all the mats off, and they start fresh.

Your dog might look funny for a few weeks but their skin can breathe again and they feel so much better. Hair grows back in 6-8 weeks and you can start over with regular brushing. We always explain whats happening before we do a shave down – some owners get surprised when they pick up their dog looking totally different.

Dog Anal Gland Expression

Yeah, we do this too. Most dogs don’t need it but some do – you’ll know cause they’re scooting their butt across your carpet or licking back there constantly. Anal gland expression is included with full grooming or we can do it by itself. Its quick, kinda gross, totally necessary for dogs who need it.

If your dog needs it done regularly, your vet might recommend every 6-8 weeks. We can handle that during regular grooming appointments.

Deshedding Treatment

Got a dog that sheds so much you could build another dog from all the fur? Deshedding treatments help. We use special tools and techniques to pull out the undercoat thats about to shed anyway. Doesnt stop shedding completely but it cuts it way down for 4-6 weeks.

Best time for deshedding in Auburn is spring when everybody’s dog is blowing their winter coat. We book up fast in March and April for this.

Matted Coat Removal

Mats happen when dogs dont get brushed enough or their coat gets wet and tangles up. Small mats we can brush out. Big mats have to be shaved out – theres no way around it. The mat pulls on skin and hurts, so leaving it isnt an option.

We try to save as much coat as possible but sometimes the whole thing gotta come off. If your dog is matted when you bring them in, we’ll assess it honest and tell you whats possible. Prevention is way easier – brush your dog at home between grooming appointments, especially behind the ears, armpits, and back legs where mats form first.

We also do boarding and daycare here, so if your dog stays with us you can add grooming right before pickup. They play all week, get groomed on the last day, and go home clean and tired. Lots of families do this before they get back from vacation so their dog looks and smells nice when they pick them up.
